Verizon HTC Thunderbolt Gets Official

Verizon Wireless and HTC have officially announced their upcoming 4G Android smartphone ‘HTC Thunderbolt’ at this year’s CES. This new LTE-capable handset will sport a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an 8.0-megapixel rear-facing camera with HD video recording, a front-facing camera for video calls, HTC’s new Sense UI, wireless DLNA support and run on Android 2.2 OS. Unfortunately, there’s no word on release date yet.

LG Optimus 2X Official Video Ad

LG has issued the first official commercial video for thedisplaying the power of the Tegra 2 chip inside it. For your info, the phone has a 4.0-inch 480 x 800 capacitive touchscreen display with a dual-core 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 processor, an 8-megapixel AutoFocus camera with LED flash, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, an 8GB of internal memory, a microSD crad slot (up to 32GB), 3G, A-GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and an HDMI port. ViewSonic ViewPad 4 Android Smartphone

The ViewPad 4 is the latest Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone from ViewSonic. The phone comes equipped with a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, a 4.1-inch WVGA display, a 5-megapixel AutoFocus camera with 720p video recording capabilities, a 3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and an HDMI out. ViewSonic will launch the ViewPad 4 in the middle of 2011 for around $549 each.

The beTouch E140 is another upcoming Android Froyo smartphone from Acer that sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), an FM radio, 3G+, HSDPA, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 1300mAh battery and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS. Pricing and release date are still unknown at the moment.
