HTC Legend Android Phone Launched in India

HTC has launched its latest Android phone in India, the new HTC Legend. The Sleek looking legend comes with metallic finish and is housed in a aluminum frame. The HTC Legend features 3.2-inch OLED HVGA display, new optical joystick in place of traditional trackball which is surrounded by narrow button to improve the accuracy. HTC has also incorporated a new application and widget called Friend Stream which brings all social network together into one organized flow of updates including Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.

HTC EVO 4G: A Multimedia Powerhouse

HTC has struck gold again with the HTC EVO 4G ($200 with a two-year contract from Sprint), which is easily the best smartphone available on Sprint and is second to the HTC Droid Incredible(Verizon) as the best smartphone available today. The EVO 4G packs powerful specs and a lot of features in a slick, stylish design. The biggest drawback is that not everyone will get to experience 4G connectivity, one of the phone's best features at launch--yet they'll still have to pay for it.

HTC Legend

Although the Desire’s specifications completely blow HTC’s other new device, the HTC Legend, out of the water, you’ll find a very Macbook-esque look to the Legend which looks amazing.
The Hero’s successor doesn’t pack a lot of power compared to the Desire though, since the HTC Legend comes with only a 600MHz processor and 384MB RAM (so not quite legendary it would seem?), you can’t help but wonder how performance will suffer when running the same software as the Desire – especially with the new ‘Helicopter-view’ addition to Sense UI which gives the user a similar experience to Expose on Mac OS X which can show all of the panes at once on the screen, allowing you to easily flick between each.
Helicopter view is activated by making a pinching gesture on the screen and is sure to make a great addition to Android.

HTC HD Mini

HTC’s other announcement this morning was a new Windows Mobile device called the HTC HD Mini. Unfortunately, it’s running Windows Mobile 6.5.3, probably one of the last new devices to do so. Sales will surely be affected after the announcement of the Windows Mobile 7 Series yesterday, although it’s running Sense UI and will be released in Europe and Asia in April
