Alltel has just launched a new Android smartphone from LG on their network. Called the LG Axis, the handset packs a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.0-megapixel camera, a side-slide QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 1500mAh battery and runs on Android 2.1 OS. The LG Axis sells for $89.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
